"Well, sir, it's this rug I had. It really tied the room together." - Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski
Even The Big Lebowski knew how to tie a room together. Whether it is the perfect rug, a fabulous painting, or a stunning piece of art glass, there are so many ways to bring color and creativity to a room.
Mid-century modern rya rugs are splendid choices for adding color and texture to a room. Rya rugs are traditional Scandinavian wool rugs. They usually have a pile of about 1 to 3 inches. These warm wool rugs progressed to lighter more colorful works of art in the 20th century.
Don't be afraid of bold color choices. The design and color will make your favorite chair or sofa stand out like the work of art is truly is.

While curled up in front of the fire on this cold winters day, I decided to pass the time away while looking through images of fabulous mid-century modern decor. I thought I would share some of the fantastic images I found. Enjoy
When people walk into Mid Mod Collective, they often comment on the unusual style of furniture they find in our showroom. We attribute these works of art to famed furniture designer, Adrian Pearsall.
Pearsall, and his brother Richard, founded Craft Associates in 1952. He became one of the country's most prominent furniture designers during the mid-century Atomic Age. They created furniture with dramatic silhouettes and bold color choices. Pearsall brought these space-age designs to the masses.
